I Love Happy Accidents

February 2, 2019 by ted

One of my favorite things that happens from time to time in photography, or any creative field for that matter, is known as the happy accident.

Maybe it’s a flash not going off when it was supposed to; or that time you accidentally bump the black slider and light room all the way down and something magical happens to the image; or as in this image, the film is accidentally exposed to light after all 36 exposures have been taken.

Don’t get too upset if something happens or doesn’t happen the way you expected it to go. Sometimes it gives you something beautiful that you never would have gotten if everything went the way you had planned it to go.

I love happy accidents.
