The Best Times in Photography

February 2, 2017 by ted

This is Sean, one of the coolest people I’ve met in a long time. I was out for a walk with my camera yesterday afternoon. When I’m out walking I’m constantly looking around for interesting things to photograph. Sean walked past me as he was on his way home and noticed me looking around, up and down, in different directions… He was cool enough to notice this and walked up to me, very friendly and asked me if I was lost.

We started talking and I found out that he’s got a background in photography and film making. Then we started talking about film cameras and just “old” stuff in general. Then he invited me into his home and showed me a lot of very cool items he’s been collecting – most of them looking like they came from the ’50s through the ’70s.

After a while I left, but I was able to take this photo of Sean. It’s cool because now I can make a print of this and take it with me to give it to him next time I go downtown. When I connect with someone so positively like this through my photography… man, that’s the best.
