Hi Everyone, I hope your month of June was a good one. I had a fun month, photographically speaking. However, it is getting too hot, too soon this year. At least that’s the way it feels. Even if I wait until the sun goes down to go out to shoot, it might still be 100°F. Okay, enough complaining. There are far worse things in life!
I think one of the things that kept my photography a little interesting was that I decided to put my obsession for Fuji lm Acros aside and try some lms that I haven’t shot before, and a familiar lm, but shot at a di erent speed. For that occurrence I’m referring to shooting Tri-X, but pulled to 200. I do like the results of that.
One of the new lms I tried this month was, Japan Camera Hunter JCH StreetPan 400; a lm with a lot of character and attitude. So much contrast; and dark tones that easily fell away to blackness. A great look for the right theme. The second new lm I tried was a French lm, Bergger Pancros 400. At rst I wasn’t sure what I thought about the results, but the more I looked at the photos, the more I really started to love the unique grain structure of this lm. I still want to shoot some more Pancros before I make up my mind, but so far I really do appreciate that beautiful grain and wide range of tone and detail.
This continuing project has a few di erent purposes. One, I am using this as an exercise in editing all my photos that I created throughout the month down to a small number. Two, just for the sake of sharing my work with you; and Three, hopefully this might inspire you to do something similar, another way to share your work with others.
I hope you enjoy the photos, Ted
